YESTERDAYS GROWTH IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR TODAY!

Pastor Carolyn reminds us today that in Gods economy WE MUST PUT ASIDE THE STATUS QUO and realize that we can not live today on yesterdays growth...on yesterdays mercy... we are NOT to be a one size fits all ... put God in a box...congregation. We can not KEEP WHAT WE HAVE UNLESS WE GIVE IT AWAY. Let us take a stand and shift the paradigm , by getting out of our own way and give and grow...give and grow...give and grow...In Gods economy it is impossible to out give God, but try we must, and when we do we will set ourselve up to be blessed...so...let us grow and give...give and grow and remember always our most criticle "philosophy of Ministry"-NO SOUL LEFT BEHIND. join us as we give to the community in the upcomming weeks and months, sharing the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ and give and grow with us as we outreach to those in need.

Let us give , seek and harken diligently for those things with eternal value!

Isa 55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Realizing that all good comes from God

Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

and let us be yeilded while doing what we do for the Lord...

Jer 18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

AMEN

WHEN WE FALL...WHEN WE RETURN

WHEN WE FALL....and when we return... there are many principles at work with which GOD chooses to let HIS Grace and Mercy flow. For the Purposes of this entry let us focus on two of them.

  1. The first principle can be realized from both a spiritual and a natural perspective, Gods Mercy and Grace seem to flow better , and seem to be more effective when the recipient of that Grace and Mercy have both a broken spirit and a contrite heart - seemingly more room for God to work in a spirit and heart that is not congested with self...self...self...me...me...me...I...I...I...We must come to the END OF OUR SELF. This principle is clearly defined in the following verses form Gods LIVING, TRUE, IRREFUTABLE WORD.

Isa 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabited eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Psa 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Psa 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

2. The second principle that is often overlooked when a member of the Body of Christ repents and returns to the Father is that not everyone will join the party , rejoice , and partake of the "Fatted Calf". Let us call this principle " The principle of prodigal Jealousy". This is clearly demonstrated in Gods word and perhaps in our own faith walk.

Luk 15:25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

Luk 15:26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

Luk 15:27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

Luk 15:28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

Luk 15:29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

Luk 15:30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

Luk 15:31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

Luk 15:32It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

When a brother or sister returns to the fold and again abides in the shadow of His wing let us rejoice and not reject, let us celebrate and not criticize, let us .... be glad: for this thy brother (or Sister) was dead, and is alive again ; and was lost, and is found...The Prodigal One

We dont need to take a shower...in order to take a bath

Ecc 11:1 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.

Ecc 11:2 Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

Ecc 11:3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.

Ecc 11:4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

Ecc 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

Ecc 11:6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

We must loose the attitude of "as soon as I stop this ...or that... I will come to Jesus, or as soon as I work this out or that out I will come to Jesus. This attitude of waiting for circumstances or situations to change before we come to the cross is a lie and a powerful tool of the devil that can keep a man in everlasting ignorance and eternal damnation . God is ready the moment we move..in other words he is always ready....

God Glorified at New Horizons

God was faithful as always in that He allowed the Ocala Foursquare Church to minister through His word and song to some of the lovely residents at the New Horizons nursing and rehab . Our thanks go out to all the staff residents of OFC and the staff of the New Hoizons facility for coming together to help make this possible. It's all about Jesus and his name lifted on high. Please Pray for all of us involved in the outreach 2010 campaign.
